The Wyoming coal industry is vital for our economic growth and long-term prosperity. Yet, the Democrats in Washington, D.C. have made it their mission to bury this industry under burdensome red tape and regulations.

In the Senate, I’ve joined my colleagues to fight back against the War on Coal.

We’re making great progress, but the efforts from the left to undermine the coal industry have been frequent, and aggressive. We’ve taken measures to promote and protect coal, including:

Our efforts have led to the ACOE announcing it would not be conducting these cumulative reviews. We're taking measures to ensure Wyoming coal remains a thriving industry!

Thrilled the President has signed the reauthorization of the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act, which will help people learn the skills they need to get meaningful jobs. It’s a special moment to complete something I’ve worked on since George W. Bush was president. But this law is about building America’s future. It’s good news for those out of work and local businesses looking for workers with specific skills. LIKE and SHARE to spread the word!

I led the first efforts to reform mine safety laws in almost 30 years and helped pass a law that promotes the use of new technologies to improve safety conditions for Wyoming miners, the “Mine Improvement and New Emergency Response Act of 2006.” Protecting our miners is so important, and we've consistently taken measures to promote safety.
